Glamorgan Wanderers RFC Mini & Juniors
Established in 1893, Glamorgan Wanderers is an integral part of the local community and the community of rugby as a whole. The Wanderers have been a central part of the local community, and with the return to top flight Premiership Rugby, it is hoped that the 1st team will bring huge benefits to the community and the region. Key to its ongoing success has been the development of local players and spreading the news of sportsmanship on the national and international stage.
When our players put on their shirts they are not just ambassadors for the Wanderers, but ambassadors for Rugby Union and for their Communities- this ethos applies to all of our teams, from the under 8's to the 1st. Critical to the successful development of our players is the active support of families, local communities, schools and business. The spotlight again this coming season will be shining bright on the 1st team who finished 2006/07 as officially the top side in the Capital, but to sustain our success we also need to continue to nurture and develop the players of the future and support the enjoyment of rugby for our Mini and Junior players. To achieve this through developing an effective partnership with Michaelston Community College

Not everyone one will be fortunate enough to play top flight rugby, but we believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to play a game that is enjoyable, exciting, that engenders a sense of responsibility and team work, and to do this to their own individual maximum potential. In the community of Rugby Union, friends made today are friends for life. In accordance with the aspirations of the Welsh Rugby Union, we acknowledge that young players value highly the fun and enjoyment of the game and their membership of a team, club and community. We support our young players to play with a strong, competitive spirit, but always within the rules and ethos of the game and with a sense of respect for others. The skills they learn and the pride and sense of well-being we hope translates to their everyday lives
