Treharris vs Glamorgan Wanderers 6th April 2008

Sunday 6th April 2008 Glamorgan Wanderers under 11's made the very long trip up to the valleys to play Treharris. Within the first 5 minutes of the first half Jack Newman scored the first of his 5 tries, Converted by Callum Francis. After our second converted try by Callum Whitcombe, Treharris broke through our very tough defensive line to score and convert their try. This made the wanderers work even harder and gave James Baldwin the opportunity to score the first of his 2 tries, Converted by Callum Francis. Half time score: Treharris 7 Wanderers 21. A great first half performance was then followed up by a superb and overwhelming second half with a further 7 tries scored by the wanderers. Try Scorers were Jack Newman (4), Kyron Dymmott, Megan Jones and James Baldwin, the 3 conversions were by Callum Francis, Harry Boots and Megan Jones. Trharris put up a very good fight but the wanderers were much to strong for them, with all due respect Treharris had played Nelson before they had played us. A good all round performance by the Wanderers, well done!!!!! Final Score: Treharris 7 Glamorgan Wanderers 62.
