Being the winners of Group C the Wanderers were into the Quarter Finals against the runners up from the so called Group of Death against Rumney A. With a very fast and physical game the wanderers fort very hard defending their try line for long periods of the 1st half. Rumney finally broke through the wanderers very strong defence early into the second half. But the wanderers showed fantastic heart and spirit to camp themselves on the rumney line for most of the second period with some outstanding ball handling and wonderful rucking from the wands forwards but unfortunately were unable to even the score and Rumney went on to progress into the semi-final at the wanderers expense.
